FORMAL PATENT DRAWINGS FOR CO-PENDING U.S. AND FOREIGN CASES:
Our drawing reproductions are NOT photocopies. Although inexpensive, they are precise duplicates of your originals printed in ink on Bristol Board or other appropriate material as necessary. They are unconditionally guaranteed to meet all requirements of the United States, PCT, EPO and all foreign countries. File copies for your own use and for your associates use are included at no extra charge. Structural changes may be included providing you have supplied us with a clearly marked copy showing the amendments desired.
We are able to use your glossy prints or negatives to make reproductions that meet U.S. and foreign Patent Office requirements. Legends, reference numbers, etc., can be added on the basis of your marked prints. We can reproduce photographs for metallurgical, design and chemical cases.
Effective June 9, 1998, only "ONE" set of photographs are required for all U.S. cases. (See Official Gazette Notice June 9, 1998). Petition and fee to accept photographs are NO longer required (See Official Gazette Notice August 4, 1988). Photo negatives are stored indefinitely. Please reference our order number if available.
Three sets, petition and fee for COLOR photographs and COLOR drawings remain in effect.
(See Official Gazette Notice August 4, 1998).
At no charge, other than postage, we will package and mail drawings directly to your domestic or foreign associates with a transmittal letter citing your docket number or other identifying information. A copy of that letter, along with file copies of the drawings, will be returned to you.
TRADEMARK FOR U.S. AND FOREIGN FILING:
We can supply trademark drawings by working directly from labels, box tops, letterheads or other specimens. If you have a good, clear copy that you can send us to use, delays are eliminated and drafting cost are greatly reduced. We will also line for color if necessary.
When formal trademark drawings for foreign filings are needed, we will also provide electrotype printing blocks and full color prints when required.
TRADEMARK DRAWINGS FOR CUSTOM HOUSE FILING:
Exact printed copies of trademark registrations can be supplied in any quantity and size for filing with the Bureau of Customs.
CORRECTION OF INFORMALITIES AND ENTRY OF AMENDMENTS:
With the abolishment of in-house drafting services by the USPTO, Patent Reproduction Company has become active in the correction of U.S. drawings. We can work from prints or original drawings supplied by our clients. We can produce amended drawings which are fully guaranteed to meet approval of Examiners and the Chief Draftsman.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TIMELY FILING:
Upon receipt of your Notice of Allowance, the base issue fee must be paid by the due date. The drawings should be filed by the due date, however, extensions of time for the purpose of correcting the drawings can be purchased ( See 37CFR 1.136(a)). Your drawings and fee do not necessarily have to be filed at the same time. They are totally independent of one another (see CFR 1.85(c)).
ORIGINAL DRAFTING SERVICES:
The primary objective of Patent Reproduction Company is to reduce drawing costs by the use of photo-mechanical and retouching techniques whenever possible. To meet the occasional need of its clients for purely creative drafting, the company maintains a staff of highly qualified draftsmen.
We also have ten computers under AutoCAD Release 14, with which we are able to offer a broader range of services. We can, when available, use your hard or floppy disks to help in the originating of your drawings. It is, of course, at our discretion as to whether we use the disks or create the drawings by hand.
When certified copies are required for foreign filings, we will be happy to order them for you. There is a nominal fee for this service.
SAME DAY SERVICE can be had on most items once we have acquired a master from which to work. There is a fee for this service.
Upon request we can furnish greatly enlarged drawings for court use. They can be supplied in almost any size up to 4 feet x 8 feet and may be mounted or rolled in tubes.
ORDER TRACKING AND STORAGE:
All orders containing a U.S. Serial or Docket number are immediately entered into our computerized docket system to insure their completion well ahead of your due dates.
The negatives/file copies of all orders are retained for approximately 18 months should you have future needs for additional sets of drawings. Photos are retained indefinitely.
